People want to find their passion. But you don’t find it, you create it. And you create it, by getting good at something. I created BECOME (and found my passion).

From a young age, I’ve had a strong passion for sports and for sharing that motivation and passion with others. Early on, I knew I wanted to do something with it. in the summer of 2014, I started my journey in the gym. I was addicted the minute I picked up a dumbbell.

Amsterdam plays a clear role in that. In 2019, I decided to leave my hometown of Nijmegen behind and find my way in Amsterdam. I thought: “big ambition, big city.”

A city where ambition shows in the way people move, work, and create. That constant dynamic forces you to stay sharp and keep moving. It aligns with how I operate, build, and move. And somewhere in that environment, BECOME takes shape.

In 2021, BECOME was born.

Built on the belief that development has no endpoint. You don’t just become who you are. You choose who you become every day.

There is always more.

There is always a stronger version waiting.

Most people chase goals. Few ever become the person capable of achieving them.

Because passion isn’t found. It’s forged.

And if there’s one thing over a decade of training, building, and becoming has taught me, it’s this:

A man is unbeatable when he’s having fun. And nobody can beat you at being you.

This is me, being me.

Welcome to BECOME.

Coach · Nutrition

Tom

As long as I can remember, I've had an interest in food. What started with curious peeks into the kitchen grew into a full-blown culinary passion.

When I discovered strength training in high school, I began to understand the significant impact nutrition has on performance and recovery. That realization led me to study nutrition more seriously, while my interest in training kept growing. Eventually, it became clear: this wasn't just a passion, it was something I wanted to pursue professionally.

In 2021 I began my internship at SportCity. I quickly found myself surrounded by trainers who inspired me to turn my passion into my profession.

I have a healthy obsession with movement. I enjoy diving deep into exercise selection and execution, refining every detail until everything is exactly where it needs to be. Where others stop is often where the real challenge begins for me.

That approach allows me to focus on what truly matters: creating clear priorities that drive real, lasting change. I exchange insights with physiotherapists and other specialists, which means I'm constantly evolving and my knowledge stays up to date. Not because I have to, but because it genuinely interests me. Everything I do is aimed at one thing: helping you get the absolute most out of your training.

Personal training and my law studies are the perfect match. The overlap is in the way of thinking and working.

Sports have been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I decided to turn that passion into a profession. In 2022, I earned my American College of Sports Medicine certification. Since then I have been working as a personal trainer at BECOME. I believe in creating lasting lifestyle changes where exercise becomes something you genuinely enjoy and a natural part of your daily routine.

I am highly goal-oriented and believe in a structured, results-driven approach. This mindset is also shaped by the fact that I am a law student. Both paths require discipline, dedication, and the willingness to keep pushing forward. Law is about continuous learning, critical thinking, and working based on evidence and argumentation.

This aligns closely with my interest in training principles and how the human body functions. It enables me to approach training in a well-informed way and to continuously develop myself through new insights and research.

In addition to strength and fitness training, I also have a strong passion for boxing and kickboxing. Building a relationship based on trust is essential, and we work together toward a clear result. Through my background in martial arts, I have also learned the importance of mutual respect.

The belief

"It is not about
who you are.

It is about
who you become."
